According to on-the-ground sources for The Insider With Yahoo, the betrothed duo will have a blow-out wedding celebration on Saturday night at the Hotel Cipriani, followed by a civil ceremony on Monday. Venice officials posted notices that a pedestrian area in front of the Cavalli Palace overlooking the Grand Canal would be closed off for two hours on Monday for "the George Clooney wedding."
Earlier this month, George and Amal made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Celebrity Fight Night gala dinner, benefitting the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, in Florence, where the actor/director was honored for his humanitarian work. In his acceptance speech, George tipped off the press to the location of his wedding when he told the crowd, "I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places."
